Now booking fall intro calls
Get in touch

Let’s talk about your story.

The easiest place to start is a free 20-minute call — no pressure, no pitch, just a conversation about where you are and what you’re hoping to write. Prefer to write first? The form works too.

Response time

I read every message myself and usually reply within [PLACEHOLDER: 1–2] business days.

Working worldwide

Sessions happen over video, so location is no obstacle — we’ll find a time across zones.

The Intro Call

What to expect when we talk

It's genuinely low-stakes. Here's exactly how the 20 minutes tend to go.

We just talk

No slides, no hard sell. I ask about where you're applying, what you're worried about, and what you're hoping to write.

I give you something useful

Even if we never work together, you'll leave with a concrete thought or two about your essay — the call is worth your time on its own.

You decide, later

There's no pressure to commit on the call. Take a day, talk it over with your family, and reach out if it feels right.

Come Prepared (Lightly)

Nothing to prepare  but if you want to

You truly don’t need anything to show up. But if you’d like the call to move faster, it helps to have a rough sense of a few things.

  • Roughly where you are in the process (just starting, mid-draft, nearly done).
  • The kind of schools or programs you're aiming for, even loosely.
  • Anything you're already stuck on — a prompt, a topic, a draft you hate.
  • Your rough timeline and any hard deadlines.
Quick Answers

Before you reach out

A few things people often wonder before booking.

Do I need a draft before we talk?

Not at all. Plenty of students book the call with nothing written yet — a blank page is a perfectly good place to start.

Can my parent join the call?

Of course. Many families do the first call together, then the working sessions are usually just the student and me.

What time zones do you work across?

[PLACEHOLDER: confirm.] I work with students around the world and do my best to find a time that fits your schedule.
